Install, repair, supply
One company for a new fence, a repair on a fence we did not build, a driveway gate, or just the materials to do the job yourself.
Fence installation in Lubbock, TX
All-State Fence & Supply was founded in Lubbock in 1979 by Brent Stewart, and 47 years later Lubbock is still the home yard. The crews are ours — not subcontracted — licensed, insured and background-checked, and the company holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
New fences generally go in within two weeks of the job being awarded, and we give a firm start week rather than a firm start date. Repairs and fences needed straight away for security can often be worked in within a day or two. Any contractor drilling post holes must by law have underground utilities located first through One Call, which takes about two business days.
What goes in the ground matters more here than almost anywhere: Schedule 40 steel posts set three feet deep in concrete, Western Red Cedar rather than imported look-alikes, and chain link that is galvanized after weaving. Every fence is priced after someone from the Lubbock office looks at the site, because length, height, style, slope, what has to come out first and how many gates you need all move the number.
What we install in Lubbock
- Western Red Cedar privacy fence — built picket by picket in dog ear, gothic point, flat top with a decorative cap, and board on board, which prevents gaps opening up as boards shrink. Standard heights 6, 7 and 8 feet, and we build custom heights.
- Ornamental iron — Ameristar, swing and sliding gates
- Chain link — residential, commercial and temporary site fence, galvanized after weaving
- PVC — CertainTeed rail and privacy fence, special order, usually two to three weeks
- Driveway and walk gates — built in our Lubbock shop, with LiftMaster operators and access control
- Commercial, industrial and oilfield security fence
- Ranch, barbed wire and pipe fence

Fence repair in Lubbock
Most of the repair calls we take in Lubbock trace back to wind. A line post leans because it was set too shallow, a rail lets go, pickets work loose, or a gate starts dragging and then gets forced until something breaks. We repair and rebuild fence across Lubbock including fence we did not build, and we will tell you honestly when a run is worth repairing and when you are better off replacing it.
Small repairs that do not involve setting a new post can often be done the same day or within one to two days. If a post has to be reset, the job waits two days for the required underground utility locate before anyone digs — that wait is the law, not our schedule.
Small repairs and small fences can still go in the same day even where posts are set in concrete — we use Quick-Rock, a quick-set compound that cures in about an hour.
Driveway gates and gate repair in Lubbock
A gate is the part of a fence that moves every day, so it is the part that fails first when it is built like the rest of the fence. Every All-State gate is built to your opening in our Lubbock shop. A cedar double drive gate on a welded steel frame spans up to 14 feet; ornamental iron slide gates run sideways along the fence line for openings up to 24 feet, sloped drives, and lots where a swinging leaf would take the full force of a Lubbock wind. Walk gates are built to match the fence picket for picket, on hinges and posts sized for a gate rather than a line post.
We also fix gates that sag, drag or will not latch, including gates we did not build. We repair all types of electric gate operators, and we install only LiftMaster — the Elite 3000 one-horsepower operator made by Chamberlain, supplied with two transmitters — along with push-button entry pedestals, proximity card readers and underground exit loops. We add operators to existing roll gates, and convert double swing gates to cantilever roll gates where an operator calls for it.
Tell us the opening width and the fence it ties into, and we will recommend a gate — (806) 799-3729.
Buy fence materials in Lubbock
The Slide Road yard is a fence supply store as well as a fence company, and it sells to the public with no minimum order — five pickets or a full bundle, homeowner or contractor, at the same counter as our own crews. It carries the largest fencing inventory in West Texas, the Permian Basin and eastern New Mexico.
The cedar is Western Red Cedar cut from Canadian logs from the West Coast and milled in Washington, not the imported look-alike sold as Japanese cedar at roughly half the price. The chain link is galvanized after weaving, where big-box chain link is usually galvanized before. A wood gate hardware kit starts at $30.80 (October 2026), delivery starts at $75 with no minimum, and Lubbock is the only yard open Saturday, 8 to 1.
Lubbock is also where the material lands. Western Red Cedar timbers, dimensional lumber and rails come straight from the mills into a six-acre yard in northeast Lubbock on a spur off the BNSF Railway — a direct line rather than a costly short line — and that is a large part of why the price at this counter holds up against anyone’s.
At the counter
- Western Red Cedar pickets
- Posts, rails and Schedule 40 pipe
- Chain link, fittings and privacy slats
- Gates, hinges, latches and hardware kits
- Wood Defender stain, full line
- Barbed wire and razor ribbon

Cedar fence styles we build
Every style below is built from the same Western Red Cedar we sell over the counter, finished in Wood Defender stain. The full-size sections are on display at the Lubbock yard.
Built for West Texas wind
Every steel post we use has the same 2⅜-inch outside diameter, so they look alike in the rack. What separates them is wall thickness, and we build with Schedule 40 — set three feet deep in concrete. That is the single biggest reason All-State fences are still standing after the storms that take other fences down.
We also do not build with pre-built panels, and we do not sell them. A panel is assembled square on a flat floor; a Lubbock yard is neither. Pickets, rails and posts follow the ground, which is why a fence built board by board stays tight when the ground moves under it.
Commercial and oilfield fence in Lubbock
All-State caters to the oil and gas industry with heavy security fencing across the Permian Basin and eastern New Mexico: chain link in 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 foot heights, with three strands of barbed wire or razor ribbon on top, custom welded double swing gates and cantilever roll gates, and vinyl-coated chain link in several colors where the look matters. We are members of ISNetworld (company ID 400-174096) and Veriforce (SSQ ID 65786), which most oil and gas companies require before a contractor can set foot on their sites. Crews carry the required PPE, run heavy-duty CAT skid loaders that dig through solid rock, and the company carries workers’ compensation, general liability and umbrella insurance.
We also fence schools, baseball fields, tennis court enclosures and many other commercial sites, including walk gates with panic bars and spring-loaded hinges for egress, which districts now specify for security.

Questions
Who is the best fence company in Lubbock?
All-State Fence & Supply has been voted Best Fence Company in Lubbock 23 consecutive years through 2026, winning KCBD’s “Best of the West,” the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Community’s Choice Awards, or both in each of those years — most recently the 2026 Community’s Choice Awards in the Fence Company category. The Lubbock location holds 340 Google reviews averaging 4.7 stars, and the company has operated from Lubbock since 1979.
How much does a fence cost in Lubbock?
We price every fence after someone looks at the site, because the number moves with length, height, style, how the ground slopes, whether an old fence has to come out, and how many gates you need. The estimate is free and there is no obligation. If you want to compare quotes fairly, check that both are quoting the same picket thickness and the same post — that is usually where a cheaper number comes from.
Do you repair fences you did not build?
Yes. We re-post, re-hang and rebuild fence and gates across Lubbock no matter who built them.
How fast can you repair a fence in Lubbock?
Small repairs that do not require setting a new post can often be done the same day or within one to two days. If a post has to be reset, the job waits two days for the required underground utility locate.
Do you sell fence materials to the public in Lubbock?
Yes. The Slide Road yard sells to homeowners, contractors and ranchers with no minimum order, Monday to Friday 7:30 to 5:30 and Saturday 8 to 1. Delivery starts at $75.
Do you install automatic driveway gates in Lubbock?
Yes. All-State is a LiftMaster Professional partner. We add operators to new gates and to existing gates that are sound and move freely, and we diagnose and repair operators of every make and model.
What kind of cedar do you use?
Western Red Cedar, cut from Canadian logs from the West Coast and milled in Washington — the same pickets we sell at the counter. It is not the imported Cryptomeria sold as “Japanese cedar” at roughly half the price. We wrote out the difference here: Japanese Cedar vs. Real Western Red Cedar.
How deep do you set fence posts?
Three feet, in concrete, on Schedule 40 steel posts. In Lubbock wind that is the difference between a fence that stands and one that leans.
